Soup, Popsicles, and Cartoons
Last night Gavin wasn't acting like his normal outgoing self. He was complaining about being tired and just wanting to go to bed! I knew something wasn't right when he said he wanted to go to bed...this little man could stay up until midnight every night if we let him, ha! I immediately checked his temperature and he was running a fever of 100.5 so I gave him some tylenol and we all laid in bed and watched American Idol. This morning Jordan and I checked his temp again and it was still the same so he had to go to work and I stayed home with Gavin. I took him to the doctor as soon as they opened and found out he has strep throat :( He looks so pitiful it makes me sad so I went to the store and got him some Toy Story, Spongebob, and Cars chicken noodle soup :) along with some popsicles! So we will be laying on the couch watching cartoons and eating popsicles all day and as soon as Daddy gets home from work at 2 he will be joining us :)

The Stepp Family
I have decided to start blogging so that I will have something to show my kids one day. In essense it's like a scrapbook...without having to be so creative, ha!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jordan, for a year and three months now. We have a son, Gavin, who is 5 and keeps us very busy and we have a little girl on the way who will be here April 3rd.
I came into Gavin's life when he was 2 years old. He is the sweetest, funniest, smartest, most independent little boy I had ever met. Him and I had a special bond from the moment I met him. Gavin and I have a strong relationship that continues to grow every day just like every other mother and son, we do not look at each other in the regard of "stepmom" or "stepson" to us it's just...Mommy and Gavin. I wouldn't want it any other way and I thank God every day for bringing Gavin and Jordan into my life.
Now we have a little girl on the way and we could not be happier as a family. Gavin told us that he prayed to God that he would bring him a baby sister...well his prayers were answered. I'm not sure if he'll feel the same way 10 years from now, ha! But for now he is so excited and cannot wait to be a Big Brother and Jordan and I cannot wait to meet our daughter, Scarlett. Only 10 more weeks to go!
